The persons calling you as a bigger plan may have more information about you than you think. They may have your bank account number and your identity etc. They usually make a call and repeatedly call you till you break down and ask them for a way out and they will tell you to remove your number from the loan account of the bank.
A sensible man would almost say him to do it and then the fellow will tell that since your identity is tagged to a loan fraudster, your number can not be removed untill your friend appears in person in the bank and ask for the same. And then quickly he will add, otherwise you can make an affidavit that you do not know your friend and submit it to the bank and your number will be removed.
You now feel somewhat relieved but then an affidavit ? Who will do it and where and you ask the same to the scamster and he will inform you that you must get it done through a bank lawyer and he will quickly provide you with the number and details of a (fraud) lawyer.
His job is not over yet, as he will be keeping an eye on your activity. If you did not call to the lawyer immediately, he will keep calling you and bothering you till you finally decide to make a call and then...
You call the lawyer and the fellow in his true professional favor will tell you the same thing, that if your friend does not appear in bank to repay he will be jailed and also you and he will use his words to threaten you too. When he is done and you plead for a way out he will ask you to pay a hefty amount to get your number removed from the bank loan account. Usually these people demand for money between 5-10 thousand only.
And feeling helpless you may pay the amount too, and they will ask you to deposit the amount through western union or some such method and mostly will not receive it on any account. And that such transfers they will demand on friday and saturdays only.
This is how you lose money to these people, who you have never met.
Be ware and do not pay a single pie to anyone. If someone threatens you what you can do ?
